The Ag59800-ULP is an ultra-low profile (11mm), IEEE802.3-compliant (af/at/bt) PoE++ PD module engineered for space-constrained applications. Operating as a Type 4, Class 8 device, it utilizes a highly efficient (up to 95%) DC/DC converter to extract power from standard Cat5 cabling, delivering low-noise 12V or 24V outputs alongside essential hardware safeguards including thermal protection, short-circuit defense, and a 1500Vdc isolation barrier.

Description
Ag59800-ULP Power-over-Ethernet (PoE++) PD modules are part of the Ag59800 Series family but with an Ultra-Low Profile (11mm in Height) for more space constrained applications. They are designed to extract power from a conventional twisted pair Category 5 Ethernet cable, conforming to the IEEE802.3 PoE standard, with full compatibility with the IEEE802.3bt, IEEE802.3at and IEEE802.3af amendments.
The Ag59800-ULP is pre-configured as a Type 4 Class 8 device, with nominal output voltages of 12V or 24V.
The high efficiency DC/DC converter can achieve up to 95% efficiency and operates over a wide input voltage range with a low ripple and low noise output. The DC/DC converter also has built-in output overload, output short-circuit and over-temperature protection and provides a 1500Vdc (input to output) isolation barrier, as required by the IEEE802.3 specification.

EvalAg59800-ULP Evaluation Board
EvalAg59800-ULP are intended for testing and evaluation of the Ag59812-ULP and Ag59824-ULP SMT POE++ PD modules. Ag59812-ULP provides a regulated 12V DC output and the Ag59824-ULP provides a 24V DC output. The evaluation boards will work with Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) that supplies power over the spare pair or data pairs. They can also be used in conjunction with Ag6800 or Ag6810 as compatible PSEs. Please use the links provided to order boards or download the user manual.
NOTE : Evaluation Boards are supplied pre-loaded with a sample module.
